Commonly called a lamasery, the Zhengjue Temple
is situated west of the new palace gates of the garden. Built
in 1773, the temple once had an abbot to supervise the monks'
work, such as chanting scriptures at the Buddhist temples
in Changchunyuan. Now only the eight-sided Pavilion of Manjusri
and several side halls remain.
