养 雀 笼
Yangquelong(Aviary)

位于黄花阵的东侧，实为一座西洋门，建成于1759年（乾隆二十四年）。明间为穿堂门，南北侧屋内笼养孔雀等鸟类，故名养雀笼。

Built in 1759, Yangquelong was actually a Western-style gateway to the east of the Labyrinth. In the rooms flanking the passage birds such as peacocks were kept-hence its name.
