Located to the northwest of the Houhu Lake, this sight was
built in 1727 (5th year of Emperor Yongzheng's reign), and
commonly known as Wanzi (swastika) Villa. The major swastika-shaped
construction, situated in the middle of the lake, was comprised
of 33 rooms. A pleasant place for living all the year round,
it was a favorite of Emperor Yongzheng, and where Emperor
Qianlong used to hold banquets in honor of the empress dowager
at Mid-autumn Festival each year.
