别有洞天

位居福海东南隅山水间，建于1730年（雍正八年）前后，时称秀清村，1739年（乾隆四年）定名别有洞天。后在1751年、1762年和1803年（嘉庆八年）前后，又有多次添建和改建。是座亭台错落、环境幽雅的园中园。雍正时期曾在此处开炉炼丹，乾隆（1736-1795年在位）、嘉庆（1796-1820年在位）二帝常在此园居住。

1985-1992年间，别有洞天遗址全面整修山形河道，绿化环境，先后修复石舫基座和西山四方亭。

Located amid the hills and waters to the southeast of the Fuhai Lake,this vista was first build around 1730(8th year of Emperor Yongzheng's reign) and known at that time as Xiuqing (Beautiful and Clear ) Village.It was renamed Bieyoudongtian in 1739(4th year of Emperor Qianlong's reign ) and underwent repeated expansions and renovations in 1751,1762,and1803,to become a garden of"Unique Beauty" with artistically layed-out pavilions and house in an idyllic environment.It served as a place to fabricate"pills of immortality"during Emperor Yongzheng's reign,and as living quarters for emperors Qianglong(reigning1736-1795 )and Jiaqing(1796-1820).

Alarge-scale renovation of BieyouDongtian was launched in 1985 and completed in 1992.Waterways were dredged,trees were planted on the hills ,and the base of the Marble Boat and the Sifang Pavilion on the West Hill were restored.

别有洞天“活画舫”残迹，其基座用青石雕砌成船舫样式。现经挖掘整理，增砌石料舫面。
